Refuwe Thubela holds a BCom Law and LLB, and is currently pursuing an LLM in Corporate Law at UNISA. He is a Professional Director (PD) SA, having completed a Directorship Programme through the Directors Association.

He advises corporates, entrepreneurs, and public institutions on complex commercial transactions, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, dispute resolution, and specialised legal matters across multiple sectors, including corporate and commercial law, property, public law, IP, and mining, energy, oil and gas, and infrastructure.

He serves on various boards across mining, financial services, insurance, and the creative industries.

He was recognised as one of the Mail & Guardian 200 Young South Africans (2025) in the Justice category and is a frequent speaker, media commentator, and legal analyst, leading his firm with a practical, solutions-driven approach.

NOKUTHULA KHUMALO

Nokuthula Khumalo is an admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa with more than 30 years of experience in the public sector. She specialises in corporate governance, litigation, international contract management, and public policy. She holds a B Proc degree from the University of Natal and an LLM from the University of Aberdeen, with additional executive and specialised training from institutions including INSEAD, Gordon Institute of Business Science, the Financial Sector Conduct Authority, and the London School of Economics and Political Science.

She has held senior leadership roles in the energy, government, and transport sectors, including positions within the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs. She currently serves as Head of Department to the Board Chairperson and Group CEO in the logistics sector. Nokuthula is also Chairperson of the South African Women Lawyers Association and serves as a retirement fund trustee, Defined Benefit Fund Trustee, and Bid Committee Member.
